Hello

Nvclockx show me wrong temperature, currently in istat I see 21C and in nvclock under terminal is something about 40C.

same here with my Palit GTS250 ID:0x0615 revID:0x00a2 it seems temperature is half the real value.

i tryed.

installed FakeSMC.kext, IntelTermal.kext, NVClockX.kext and SuperIOFamily.kext to /Extra/Extensions.
error print [Warning] no nVidia graphics adapters found in kernel.log, but detected NVIDA video card.
this error is line 119 in /HWSensors/NVClockX.cpp ?

I'm on an Asus Notebook Core i7 with the Nvidia GT 240M. I've selected MacbookPro6,2 as the model.

I can't seem to get the GPU Diode reading to show in iStat Menus 3.



I had to edit my dsdt by adding Device (SMCD) so that ACPIMonitor.kext can load.

NVClockx seems to be loading okay, but there's no GPU Diode reading. Using latest revision 477

The problem is unsupported GT240.

I guess the unsupported also applies to my Nvidia GT240M.

In that case, can ACPIMonitor be updated to include the GPU Diode sensor reading for those of us with unsupported Nvidia graphics cards?

I don't know.
May be RWEverything for Windows where you can look in any device and any address.
RegisterSpace=@0x10 @PCI VGA device
And check addresses inside the space.

I'm going to try to use an nVidia ROM file with my HP DV8 laptop but I am uncertain how to implement in com.apple.Boot.plist.

In the Chameleon docs we are given:

UseNvidiaROM=Yes|No Use an alternate Nvidia ROM image
(path: /Extra/<vendorid>_<devid>.rom)

VBIOS=Yes|No Inject VBIOS to device-properties.


So would the following be the correct way to specify?


<key>UseNvidiaROM</key>
<string>/Extra/0x10de_0x0a28.rom</string>

<key>VBIOS</key>
<string>Yes</string>

If so, then the "=Yes|No" needs to be removed from the UseNvidiaROM (and for ATI too) section of the docs.

I have tried every conceivable combination but I just cannot seem to get this to work. I think we need some clarification on the usage of these parameters.

Stupid question time....

Is the GTX275 supported with this?

Clock speed seems to be correct but GPU fan speed quadruples in k-stat-i and istat as soon as I add nvclockx.

I have the same problem as the ones with the Geforce GT240. No GPU Diode being detected, and sometimes I get the error message:

My Asus EN8400GS is not recognized by Nvclockx, the log says the following:

Somehow this card is not supported by NVDAHal50.kext, adding '0x10c310de&0xfff8ffff' in the plist solves this and everything is fully supported by graphicsenabler (qe/ci etc). Only problem is, the fan is always at 100% speed, this can be fixed by this plugin for fakesmc right? Could my device ID's be added to Nvclockx so it also works on Asus 8400gs cards?
