All credits to Jingu.
About FAN it is complex problem and I am not ready to check more carefully.

Is this any help? Probably not. It's from HWMonitor on Windows.

Hello to the development team!

I just installed a new hackintosh for a friend who bought a low-cost PALiT NVidia GT218 (GeForce 210) card, and after installing the latest FakeSMC and NVClockX, I would like to report the following error on verbose boot:

CODE

Feb 10 14:11:53 localhost kernel[0]: W836x: found Winbond W83667HG

You will notice that although NVClockX detects the card (vendor 0x10de, device 0x0a65) I also get:

NVClockX: [Warning] Unhandled init script entry with id '' at 6ce4

Could you please inform me on this error as I never see it on my Hackintosh, and perhaps check the code for a bug or a solution?

NOTE: It seems that Chameleon's RC5 auto-detection of this specific card fails (regarding the video output ports) so I was forced to set it up using EFI string inside org.chameleon.Boot.plist. Could this be the problem for the warning, above? I have reported this detection error here.

Thank you all in advance.

Hello,

My Card is Nvidia GT 520MX with PID of 1051 which is not supported by Nvclockx.However, its working with showing GPU board temp and GPU fan speed(may be its wrong value for Fanspeed since its always showing single value 409rpm), So, I would like to add it the nvclock. Can somebody here tell me how to do it? or Can somebody do it for me?

Thanks

If adding new DevID is only thing that you need then get it.

Thank you, however this eliminated the error of Unknown Video Card in the Log but its still

giving me the error of "Error Reading Bios" so I think we need to do something else to in somewhere else

too like in fakesmc.

I would like to contribute by figuring out my Card to the community but I need some help which is

a very basic one. It is, I need to know how to compile the source of the FakeSMC and Nvclock and sections

I need to be concerned about the addition of new cards?

So, could you just guide me for this one step,please ?and for the rest its possible for me to figure out.

Thanks

Hi
this is my first post here

I have got one question about nvclockx.kext

I tried 3 versions of fakesmc and nvclockx from downloads:

rev 530 my gpu temp 15 C

rev 582 gpu temp 0 C

rev 600 gpu temp 0 C

with nvclock -i from http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1246

gpu temp is ok ( 48 C)

Dunno what is the common case. I do the follow

        case 0x610: /* G92 */
      if (device_id == 0x606) {
        arch = NV50;

        arch = G84;
      }
            break;

it seems to work still...but now i get the "error reading bios" warning as it loads...thx anyway

...well...did a restart into single user...right after root prompt to either fsck or mount nvclockx successfully read the GT520 bios....exited single user and loaded desktop...i'll play a bit and get back...

Hello,

There is a problem with my GeForce 470 (GF100) card and nvClockX:
GPU Core (Diode) reports wrong value (such as 32623 deg).
GPU Board (HeatSink) however seems to report correctly.

This problem seems to be caused by using load_bios_prom in readbios in NVClockX/NVClock/bios.cpp.
Replacing load_bios_prom with load_bios_pramin solves this issue, and makes both sensors be read correctly.

Is this a generic issue with GF100 cards or is this just a specific problem with my card? If this happens with other cards as well, perhaps it'd be a good idea to incorporate this for GF100 cards in NVClockX.

Edit: added solution to the problem

Guys, just to inform you that I am running rev.625 that was kindly compiled and posted by Slice, and would like to request a minor tweak for my GFX card, please.

My card ID shows a fan speed of "163rpm" in HWMonitor.app for the GPU but mine has only a heat-plate as it is silent, no fan at all:

QUOTE
Chipset Model: Gainward NVIDIA GeForce 9500GT
Type: GPU
Bus: PCIe
Slot: Slot-1
PCIe Lane Width: x8
VRAM (Total): 1024 MB
Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de)
Device ID: 0x0640
Revision ID: 0x00a1
ROM Revision: 62.94.3C.00.G0

Can I please ask you developers to perhaps include this card in the fan ignore-list, if it exists?

Also, my GPU board shows a rather constant temperature of 49-50 degrees (idle use). Is this normal, do you think? I think it's a little too high, considering I am only using 10.6.8 with no real GPU-related apps...

I have no access to the svn to make any modifications myself, nor am I a Xcode-savvy to offer a solution. Sorry rolleyes.gif

Thanks in advance.
