it would be possible to include in post # 1 a memo that describes how to install (p.e. can install in E/E; can install all plugins or it's necessary choose the appropriate; etc)?
thanks in advance

I am sorry, I am not using Extra at all. May be someone else can report if FakeSMC and plugins work from Extra.

Yes, the FakeSMC rev454 posted above works from Extra, along with IntelThermal, NVClockX and SuperIOFamily plugins. I haven't tried the other plugins as I don't use them.

rev454 won't load completely from /E/E, there are same plugins missing, like IntelThermal and FakeSMC_Radeon.
From /S/L/E most sensors are working as usual, still no GPU readings from FakeSMC_Radeon and the CPU freq is not right (see attached capture) Also I get no fan control with this version. Thank you for all your efforts Slice and co.

@
eMatoS,
Test each plug in you need and report the bug, if not load,
in dedicated topic.
As far I see you use IntelCPUMonitor, why you try to load IntelTermal?

Sorry, my mistake, I meant IntelCPUMonitor, not IntelThermal, and I'll report the issues separately later with the newer versions.

Hi
Big Thx to Slice! The new FakeSMC works good, but one of the plugins don´t want to load.
The SuperIOFamily.kext does not load.
If i install FakeSMC.kext to /S/L/E/ and load the SuperIOFamily.kext manualy then i get this line in the console but no new sensors were added to iStats:
10.01.11 01:43:54 kernel W836x: found Winbond W83627DHG
My Mainboard is: ASUS P5W DH Deluxe
earlier i used the SMCWinbondController.kext with an older FakeSMC.kext, but it does not work with the new. :-(
Thx for every advice!

W836x is written by mozo
SMCWinbondController is written by usr-sse2. Some diff is occured.
Someone has to compare sources.

The SuperIOFamily.kext does not seem to load from the FakeSMC.kext plugins directory as, unlike the former iteration of the SuperIOFamily.kext, it has the plugins directory of its own, and so it must be installed on its own and not as a part of the FakeSMC.kext. I am sure you are aware of this, however if you are not, perhaps this is the cause of your problem.

Thx for the info Darwin.
Now the kext is loading at boot, but don´t get all sensors, no fans are showing at iStats,
but this is an other problem, hope this will be corrected in the future.
Again big Thx to all people who make this possible!!!

Hello,
Thanks for upload, every kext working fine here (FakeSMC, SuperIO, F718x, RadeonMonitor and IntelCPUMonitor). But be carful there's few kext hanging inside SuperIOFamily

:

Appart that everything works fine, and as before with the old dev branch, except it looks like it"s booting faster now.
Cheers.

Hey Slice, great work, as usual! Installed FakeSMC, IntelThermal, RadeonMonitor, and SuperIOFamily.kexts in E/E and everything is working perfectly as it did, except for CPU Heatsink readout seems stuck at 25'C. Has anyone else experienced this as well?
