Hey, any chance support can be added for multiple cards or cores (4870x2 for example)? I finally got it to show the core 1 temperature on my 4870x2 by changing it's chipset family to RV790 instead of RV700. I tried to add support for more sensors, but I'm not really an expert there and have been so far unsuccessful. I'd really like to be able to get GPU core and mem frequencies for both cores so I can see if the disabled core is actually disabled or if it's running at full speed. My power supply fan runs at full speed when in OSX and I'm assuming it's because the GPU is running at full clocks instead of the idle clocks. I'd really like to be able to check this.

Hmm... that's odd. I did put it in S/L/E but it didn't show up in iStat Menus. I'll try again to make sure. Thanks


Edit: I got this error: com.apple.kextd: Can't load /System/Library/Extensions/RadeonMonitor.kext - failed to resolve dependencies.

So I recon something is wrong. Do you have a solution I can follow? How to add my dependencies.

I'm using Lion 10.7.2

Edit: Got it working. My chameleon did not work with RadeonMonitor. Installed Chimera 1.7 and I got the GPU Diode temp.

I have a ATI Radeon HD 6770M. The Vend ID is 1002 and Dev ID 6740 now Radeon Monitor does not support this card.

Possible include this card for me and others menbers community mackintosh please ?

May be you mean DeviceID=0x9552 Mobility Radeon HD 4300 Series?

I tried to make simple edit, like enabling r6** or r7** via hardcode in RadeonChipinfo.h . Card is recognized, but temperature is zero (who would doubt )

Card is recognized, but hwmonitor shows zero degrees.

i dont know, what this kext does, but just putting it into S/L/E creates a kernel panic,
that is so persistent, several cache deletes, mkext rebuilds did prevent from
initializing cpu right ( pss states incomplete)

so i better not touch it anymore
