Hello,

i´ve got my laptop (Sony Vaio FZ31S) running with OSX86 SL 10.6.6

It work´s fine with Sound, Ethernet (no Wlan because of Intel 4965AGN), Keyboard and Mouse.
Grpahic is NVidia Geforce 8600M GS 256MB.
I can change the resolution to 1280x800 when i change it in the system preferences at Chameleon. It works good.

But what about QE/CI
I´m really new to this so sorry for that noob-question.

Problem is, i can´t open "About this mac". When i try i get a blue screen and then back to dashboard.

Is my Graphiccard complete working when i can change resolution via Chameleon?

Thanks for your help

btw. Laptop is running on full power the hole time and is very hot but it works ^^

Regards
Alex

Short answer, no.

Longer answer, no because Chameleon doesn't control the resolution of accelerated graphics. The graphics mode you're setting in chameleon is for non-accelerated VESA mode which means OS X isn't really picking up your graphics card.

What methods for accelerated graphics have you tried so far?

for SL or Lion ??

for SL:
look for EFI-STudio 1.1, add your graphic, write an efi-string to your bootplist
and you are on the sure side with all enhancments for your card,
