First of all, thanks to all who make hackintosh possible.

I'm encountering strange KPs during boot sometimes (1/5 times) with Lion. It seems that the culprits are FakeSMC (3.1) and IOACPIFamily (1.4) kexts.

I have FakeSMC, IOAHCIBlockStorage, JMicron36xATA as well as ACPIMonitor, IntelThermal, NVClockX, and SuperIOFamily in E/E.

S/L/E has two modified kexts, AppleHDA and AppleRTC.

My board is EP43-UD3L with GeForce 9500GT. I've tried various Chameleon and get this random KP which is annoying. The system is currently running RC5 r1265 and iStat Menus 3.18 is used to monitor sensors.

It is interesting. Why do you think that FakeSMC conflicts namely with IOACPIFamily? Did you try to change it to another version?
It's a pity latest sources of IOACPIFamily is from 10.6.8. I never saw that FakeSMC conflicts with it.

Did you try old version rev405 from here ?

Thanks Slice for a quick reply. I tried the old version, gave me KP on boot regarding Raedon-something (I don't have ATi). I tried removing the plugins in the FakeSMC. Still got a KP. Tried editing the info.plist. KP.

Release_10.6_rev493 seems to be working....

I use both without K.P.



With nVidia use NVClockX and delete RadeonMonitor and X3100
With Ati use RadeonMonitor and delete NVClockX and X3100



Try:

In Extra folder just use :
DSDT.aml
org.chameleon.Boot.plist
smbios.plist

All other kext in S/L/E
