nvm... looks like uncle bill is searching for "intel" on the system profiler values which fails on my computer at least, because it reads "unknown"

Most Likely answer is because you have Unknown as a cpu description .. Silverlight installer checks this for 'Intel' string.

Another way to install without Pacifist is to right click the installer and go to "Show Package Contents". Then go to the Resources folder. You should find a file named something like "InstallerCheck", just go ahead and delete the file. After that, you're good to go.

On the same hackintosh I have two systems 10.5.6 (all is OK) and 10.5.7 9j56 (unknown CPU).
On 10.5.6 Silverlight installed and works.
On 10.5.7 Silverlight can be installed by Pacifist but doesn't work. Firefox crashes at silverlight sites.
