Really interesting article, you learn a lot about Cocoa's core text system, it's a very good read even for experienced users.

On another, completely unrelated note, I think we should have a section for "neat links/cool mac stuff you find" which for one reason or another would not be cool to steal the text of and paste it into long posts.
