Hi,

I'm trying to install Retail SL on my old Toshiba Tecra S3.

I have sucsessfully created a bootable USB stick.
Kernel is replaced by Qoopz patched mach_kernel for SL on 32 Bit.
I also put some of the recommended kexts into the Extra/Extensions i.e:

NullCPUPowerManagement.kext
SleepEnabler.kext
IONetworkingFamily.kext

and 2 others I can't remember now.

Installation is starting well but I stuck at the error FireWireOHCI unable to get device memory.
The last screen during boot is shown in the jpeg and hope someone can give me a hint on what to do.

Any help getting me further is appreciated.

Ok, I got it. Just had to enable Execution Prevention Bit to enabled in BIOS.

Still no success.

After solving the above mentioned problem I get stuck directly after the "DSMOS" message with a line saying "Journal replay finnished" and the system hangs :-(

Anyone got a clue?

Delete the DSMOS in /S/L/E It won´t work with 10.6.2 for me.. Just deleted it and it boots (If you have delete the DSMOS before update to 10.6.2, the update will create a new one in /S/L/E)

Remember to have fakesmc, IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector, LegacyAppleRTC and NullCPUPowerManagement in /Extra

Still trying to get SL installed.

I hope theres's an expert who has some further useful hints on getting me going.

This is my last "success" blink.gif so far:

I'm using the latest myHack installer (1.0) and have all recommended kexts in /Extra/Extensions. I also removed the DSMOS from /S/L/E.
I tried booting with -v, -v -x, -v -f, -v -F and -v -s.

Only in case this hint helps: When booting with -v -s I see the prompt for some seconds before the system freezes with the same last line shown in the image.

Untill this screen I always had some kind of talkative errors I could use for further investigation but now I'm lost sad.gif .

Please help wink.gif
