This troublesome card has been giving me a lot of hard time! It is a 9800 GTX+ (g92b chipset) with 1GB Memory, by Gigabyte. The Dev Id is 0x0612. I installed Snow Leopard from the USB stick with myHack installer method, and everything works fine until I installed myHack installer and rebooted. Then it simply give sme a blank/black screen (though the monitor is receiving signal, there's just nothing on the screen). But of course this is nothing to do with myHack being the fault.. I swapped the card with a 7900gs card and rebooted the system and everything worked perfectly. Just that this video card is more challenging to get running. sad.gif

I've tried several many ways to fix this with helps of others (thanks aschar, Conti, Krakuzu, etc. from #snowleopard) but still have come to no avail. sad.gif I've tried bootstrings, graphicsdisabler, NVEnabler, and never could arrive to the Desktop with proper resolution (let alone QE/CI enabled). sad.gif

Has anyone had any such experience with this model of a graphics card? Any good EFI strings or such? If you need any other info please let me know. I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me out here, thanks!

Problem solved. Flash to a new BIOS and everything was fine upon reboot. smile.gif

Thanks joe75.

Keep in mind. I flashed my Graphics cards firmware, not my motherboards.. after I used nvflash to flash the gfx card to a new rom, it was as if no problem ever existed. smile.gif

Does your 9800 GTX work in 64-bit mode?

I'm fine if I stay in 32-bit but all hell breaks loose in 64-bit mode. After doing a lot of testing with various configurations I'm starting to suspect the problem lies with the driver itself and not with the injection method.

Not that I really care about 64-bit mode, it just bugs me that it doesn't work.

Unfortunately Leadtek doesn't have a new BIOS for my card - of course I have the only version that they didn't release an update for!

/EDIT

Never mind, got it working now.
