Ah... I'm glad they included the Alto in with the crowd. For some reason, many people overlook this glorious little complexity of a machine.

It's amazing how quickly these transitions occur. Especially the Windows 3.1 to Windows 95 jump, and the System 8 to Mac OS X transition. The tech jumped so much.

I'm assuming Hara Taiki was talking about the visual changes between OS 8 and OS X. There were no visual changes between OS 8 and 9. So that point is irrelevant.

Er.. well... between Mac OS 8 and 9, quite a few things changed (visually).

Control Strip added.
Changed to a new themeset called Platinum.

Not worth a mention though.

Indeed. Apart from the Apple keyboards, this was the only way to control your volume (unless you obtained a menu bar item).
