I am looking at adapting the xpc bootloader to load OS X from the UEFI boot. I have done some testing and acquired some experience. It is a bit on and off project as I have lots of other things to do, but if there are other with some experience and this board with the UEFI bios (or maybe other UEFI board), I would be happy to hear from you.

I am not interested in legacy bios reports or issues, and this is not a thread for beginners.

I wanted to do this too and have first hand knowledge that this was looked at by someone I personally know and trust and what was explained is that XPC does not follow the proper UEFI boot convention and will never work without modification to the source and he believed he could do it in couple of days but I could never get the source since it's not being distributed and only shared amongst a select few individuals.

I can say this, I have seen a D5400XS boot OSX by UEFI from an HDD without doing anything more than copying a bunch of files to it after a fresh GUID partition but the owner of those files wouldn't bless me with a copy of them.

I'm seeing a trend with this lack of open development and sharing and to me it looks like nothing more than a way to extort control by the developer(s) by giving us only what they want us to have and this does not promote growth in the community or development of UEFI booting.

I have also played with the UEFI booting myself and at one time had the refit shell booting from EFI on the HDD but have since lost the information on how to achieve this since it was more than a year ago when I was playing with it.

If you do come across the source for XPC let me know, maybe we can do some collaborative work on it.
