hi,

I bought a new pc few weeks ago and i was wondering if i can install OSX SL on it.

(specs:

Gigabyte p55a-ud3
Intel Core i5-750
2GB DDR3 1600Mhz
nVidia 8600GT 512mb
500GB SATA 2 HDD
IDE CD/DVD ROM (from old pc)
)

I've searched for BIOS configuration and set everything as it has to be...
My mother have MacBook Air so i used DVD that comes with it (can that be the problem??)

So, i booted from iBoot for nvidia and tried to boot SL

Normal boot option - error - Max db22.5, set to default -something like that, if u want i'll take a photo
-x boot option - error - still waiting for root device -
-v boot option - error - still waiting for root device -

Secondly, i tried empire EFI 1.08 P55 Chipsets ver. - same error as with -x option in iBoot

Any ideas? thx and sorry for my english..

That DVD will probably only work on a MacBook Air.

OK, i'll try it next week because i have plenty of school work to do...

ok i used another method aaaand...it's working!!

im running 10.6.3 SL without any problems (except ATA controller and only usb1 support - another topic)
