Hello reading through the hackintosh post i thought some one might be able to give some advise and help.
I am atempting to build my self a hack with specs

MOBO : Gigabyte EX58-UD5
Ram : Cosair Pc-12800 6GB
Video: ATI Radeon HD 4870 saphire also have an Nvidia 9800GTX+ as an option 1GB & 512 MB resp
cpu : Intel i7 920
HDD: Seagate 500GB SATA
CDD Samsumg 22x SATA DVD

I have tried a few methods from lifehacker and and the digital_dreamer option from insanelymac however when i start my system i don't even get to a bootloader menu just stuck at the first boot screen with the following lines

Serial ATA AHCI BIOS, Version iSrc 1.07 08042006

Please advise or direct me on what the possible problem could be any help will be greatly appreciated.

This is ordinary Gigabyte's message from SATA controller. After the message BIOS must start from HDD or DVD where you have bootable system.
The problem is not yet concern hackintosh.

Thanks for the reply however how come it then doesn't proceed to boot from the set hdd that has a boot loader and osx and only does this when i put the inttented hackintosh boot disk. is it a mater of cmos setings that i should play with.
