After much work I have finlay got anilla Speedstep - Generic Scope (_PR) working for me on my BX2 Q6660 system

So finally I got rid of ...

NullCPUPowerManagement.kext
SleepEnabler.kext
EvOreboot.kext

I am having problems with getting the last few things working from the DSDT.

1. Nvidia Gforce 7300 Graphics
2. Getting rid of AHCIPortInjector.kext (Orange Icons)

I have tried and tried but always failed. I tried following the guide at http://www.tonymacx86.com for the graphics card problem, I followed every step to the letter but it dont work!


I have attached my decompiled DSDT without the mess I made of it before! The attached DSDT has all the fixes for Vanilla speed stepping and Vanilla power management.

Can anyone help out adding the AHCI fix and the Graphics fix?

Edit the above I needed to re add EvOreboot.kext

Geforce 7 series video cards don't work in 64-bit kernel & drivers mode.

About the orange icons, IIRC there are some code examples in this thread on IM:

I don't know if those will work on the BadAxe2 though.

Hi guys! so i got speed stepping 100% working and AppleLPC loaded fine. The orange icons are now fixed with a DSDT patch.
The thing is i am having problems with restarting without EvOreboot.kext...

And sleeping working, the monitor just dont wake up!

I have tried to add the Nvida 7300GS to the DSDT, the code all looks fine and works fine without any kext file. I have full resolution but done have QE/CI?
pretty weird!

Anyone for any clues? I have uploaded my DSDT.

i changed your dsdt to my gpu, deleted all kext exept Fakesmc
all is working fine so far
only thing missig is Intel 82801GH I/O Controller Hub (ICH7DH), the second sata set
maybe someone will find a solution for it

i dont think that you gpu is running without QE/CI
i can remember from my 7300 gt that there was a problem with flickery screen saver
i tested chess with it and the game was working fine
so i changed to a gts250
