I am getting a message you do not have permissions for this feature when I am trying to reply to a post?

This has been going on for the longest time and I thought to post this issue now that I really need to reply to a Thread.

Thanks

Sorry about that I finally see that a quiz must be taken. That first reply , was not a link to the quiz right?

WHat is the answer to seeing the different languages? Is that a kernel panic?

nope, is a link explaining that pebkac-acronym.

it's too easy to get a hold of the link to the forums quiz since it's been posted all over the forum for many of you ran into the same pitfall. you guys just need to open your eyes instead of sitting in front of the keyboard just wondering about that 'oh so serious forum bug'!

anyway, i'm not sure if i'm supposed to laugh or cry about this.

Probably both. I can see how it was seriously in front of me now. I did read the rules when I joined and read them again and did not see anything about a QUiz but no excuse for not seeing the message about taking the quiz before posting.

Also nothing in the HELP :@ but still your right that message is on the forum window. I just did not see it maybe the color of the window or something in the window was distracting me from seeing it.

Hi,

Iīm a new user in this forum.
Just a suggestion: Why not having an email in inbound after successfull registration?
You should have less meesages to laugh or cry about then...

Indeed, the problem is more often in front of the keyboard than in the computer (btw nice acronym) - but in this case I also was confused, why i couldnīt reply... Shame on me wink.gif

you must be kidding!

big fat no no - don't expect us to pollute the interwebz any more with useless mails that no one is going to read anyways. are you seriously telling me that this big old freaking box

, its text and then adding the other bits'n'pices of information regarding this issue you can pick up while just browsing a couple of minutes around in this forum, is not enough already?!
big boxes on top of a forums entry page do not count and don't need to be read at all? not even a single time? no?!

well, some of you have suggested to make the font face bold or paint the text red (actually, me is still waiting for the one wanting it constantly blink) but as far as i'm concerned, none of these suggestions will ever make it.

oh and hey, how about this famous one? even a simple search would have cleared things up, but i guess 'how to use google' is just another chapter in the book 'same shit, different day' :)

But I prefer: Just do it

Shame on me... smile.gif I think I have to choose a bigger font to read the freaking box
