Hello all.

I recently managed to install Hackintosh 10.6 on my system, using the iAtkos S3 distro. Everything has went well for me with installing, and OS X displays perfectly. However, I have a problem that I cannot rid my Hackintosh of. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate and Snow Leopard in a dual boot, with a TP-Link WN321G USB adapter. The notes contained inside the box for the TP-Link adapter have said that it is a Ralink chipset, so it should definitely work that way. During installation I made sure I installed all the Wireless kext files, to ensure I had the ones I needed. I didn't install any Wired kexts, as I didn't think they would be essential, owing to the fact I rarely use my laptop with an ethernet cable to connect to the internet.

According to Windows, the TP-Link adapter is working perfectly, and I am able to connect to the internet smoothly through it. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said with my Hackintosh partition. According to the USB Wireless Utility, I am connected to my router, which is a second generation BT Home Hub. The same thing is also said in the other programs that appear to have installed as their kexts were added to my system or whatever. While these programs all say that I'm connected, they say I am Receiving information from my router, but that I am not transmitting any information myself. In Windows I am apparently transmitting and receiving information, leaving me extremely confused. When I open Safari, it will come up with the generic 'cannot display webpage' error, owing to the fact I'm not connected to the internet on my Hackintosh partition.

This is my first experience with a Hackintosh machine, and I apologise if this is in the wrong forum section. I thought this section was most suitable, though if anyone disagrees I understand that it should definitely be acted on. This is my first time moving to an Apple machine of sorts, and I'm not extremely experienced with the operating system as of yet. I look forward to finding out some answers as to how I can improve my experiences with my OSX86 machine, through connecting to the internet tongue.gif

If it would be beneficial I can acquire screen-captures from the programs on my Hackintosh and show exactly what they are displaying. Thank you very much for any help that you can provide me with!

A quick google search reveals this information

"To capture a portion of the desktop, press Command-Shift-4. A cross-hair cursor will appear and you can click and drag to select the area you wish to capture. When you release the mouse button, the screen shot will be automatically saved as a PNG file on your desktop."

I don't have a Command button as such, and pressing Ctrl+Shift+4 hasn't worked out for me. I guess there's a different set of buttons I should be using? I'll get the images later, because I'll be going off for a few hours now, and then I'll get them, if I remember.

if not already reconfigured, the 'windows'-key should serve as the command/apple-key. i always swap the windows- with the alt-key afterwards, so that the alt-key serves as the command-key.

so, either it's "win+shift+3|4" or it's "alt+shift+3|4" depending on the screenshot (fullscreen / selection) you need.

Yeah, this is really going to expose the fact I'm a noob to my Hackintosh, but how do I reconfigure that key? I'm sorry, but this is really my first time attempting to perform something like this.
