I'd like to see a "Mac Classic" or Vintage forum here smile.gif

Just an idea.

I'm against this for two reasons:
1) This is Project OS X and is solely centered around OS X
2) Classic macs have nothing to do with osx86

A retro forum just seems superfluous based on the theme of the site.

IMO

Skins just slow down a forum and load 1KB-2MB of data to read a few lines of text.

I suppose anyone could use a lo-fi version if they chose to but I think putting content into this forums is a wiser use of time.

Also, anything that sparks pater's intellect and brings him out of hiding I'm down with...long live PATER!

Sorry, but what does that have to do with a pre-OS X category? tongue.gif

Again, I totally agree with pater here.

This guy makes such good points.

In my opinion if you are interested in OS9 and older you should go to a museum or some other prehistoric institution. Seriously I am sure there are other forums which deal with older OS's and this should be dedicated to OS X.

I protest against it.

As cool as it sounds, this falls under common sense:

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

It would be fun, but this isn't the place for it.
