Mine works OOTB from 10.5 on, but GUI is kind of laggy (even though I have QE/CI).
I doubt this happens on macbooks with GMAx3100

Hi,

Anyone tried to check the benchmarks in their x3100. I get really low scores in the OpenGL test. Spinning frames is only about 18 FPS.

What do you get? Thanks

EDIT: BTW, I ran Xbench 1.3

My system works fine without any bugs. But OpenGL is really slow.
In WindowsXP I can't play some games because of graphics driver crash. I think IntelX3100 is not for 3D graphics.

BTW. Results will be twice better if CPUPowerManagement is disabled.

I concur , Intel GMA 9xx series (inclusive of GMA 950) doesn't have any Hardware transform (HnL) and lighting capabilities which makes the score pretty low , as it uses CPU to do some of this stuff. i am not sure how its done in OSX , but studying how it works in Windows - Intel has made use of CPU , so whenever an application wants to make use of hardware HnL , the software automagically redirects it to the software to do , thus sucking up cpu cycles do such things. However not all applications do agree to this

For more information you can read , http://everythingapple.blogspot.com/2006/0...ble-opengl.html

If you notice even a Radeon 9200 beats GMA 950. I am guessing its the same for GMA X3100 as they are umm of the same Intel GMA core with faster clock speed (Correct me if i am wrong)

Does anybody know the dependency?
