Hi al,

I´ve tried alot of kexts to get my sound card 100% working but still no succes.
My sound card is a Realtek ALC662 and it is in a laptop.

With VoodooHDA 0.2.2 my sound is working but internal-external mic are not.
But with a ALC662 kext my internal-external mic are working but my sound is not

I've also tried to patch the original AppleHDA.kext with a linux codec dump file but no succes(nothing was working)

So is it possible to rip out the internal-external mic part from the ALC662 kext and put it in te VoodooHDA 0.2.2 kext so everything is working fine?

VoodooHDA at the moment doesn't work correctly with mic. But you may try instruction from here

Isnt it possible to write a whole new kext with the linux code=dump file I posted?

no succes:

Output:
- Internal Speakers with volume bar but not working
- Headphone with volume bar but not working
- Digital Out

Input:
- Line In with volume bar but not working when I have my mic plugged in(no input level)
- Internal microphone with volume bar strange thing is when I change the volume I see a input level for 1 sec but then it disappears and I will not get a input level again.

Something wrong in your linux.dump
You have input and output devices, so the problem only in amplifiers. Can you find a datasheet on your chip ALC662?

bro , I have also realtek alc662 audio , so I downloaded the attachment. Can you tell me , if I shall install all the 7 kexts included in the plugins folder , shall I do anything in a specific order , I am asking cause the last time i tried , I manage to damage everything.Newbie to mac and I feel like a 10 years old kid , don't know anything

ok , I got it now how to install , I extracted the archine in windows and I saw all the kexts which are included , on mac os you see only one kext.

P.S: I tried , I put it in the extensions folder , deleted extensions.mkext , repaired the disk permissions , booted with the flags -v -f , but it does not work. Any suggestions?
