Hi,
I have been using leopard for a while now and I have recently got a new board. I got the Asus M3A79-T Deluxe that has the ad2000b chip and for the life of me I can not get it to work. I have tried every possible kext I could find. I have tried all of the kexts related to The King but no luck. I have tried voodoohda no luck either. I did find one but on loading I get a very high pitched squeal until I go in to pref. pane and hit a system sound and even then only works half of the time.

When I tried The King's kexts I get no audio at all but in system prof. I have two devices but nothing indicated under them about any outputs or inputs. When I used voodoohda I get nothing in system prof. (which I believe is normal) and under pref. pane if I hit sounds options I get a KP (yes I deleted hdaenabler and other relevant kexts) I tried the pref pane for voodoo but no luck (under snow leo I get a little bit of very distorted sound) As stated before the one kext that I did find to work gave a very high pitched squeal and does not work great.

I was wondering if anyone can be generous enough to give me a hand figuring out this problem. I would greatly appreciate it. I am on leo but I will update to snow if I can get a working solution (I have tried all the current solutions and no luck under snow) I do use optical out as my main source but I will be glad to use other options (I have also tried all other outputs with the mentioned kexts with no luck) Thank you to anyone that reads this and is willing to help.

As I know some users is happy with this driver

So it may be your own problem at a whole configuration.
You say that you tried all drivers extisting. I am not believe to you.
Can you make a report and produce a dump witn VoodooHDA 0.2.43?
getdump >AD2000dump.txt
nicholasblock
getdump >AD2000dump.txt = error: IORegistryEntryGetPath returned 0x10000003

This is what I get with get dump. Do I need to have voodoo installed when I do this? Last time I had voodoo installed and ran it I got some other error but can't remember what it was I'll be glad to install it and give you that out put.

I have my DSDT patched and I notice in system profiler that the Dev id is different than my real dev id. I am attaching a screenshot of my system profiler as well as a shot of IOregistry explorer. Even without patched dsdt and using hdaenabler I get the same dev id in system profiler.

Thank you for your response and help I really appreciate it. If you need any more info I'll be glad to get it to you.
