iPhone OS 3.1.2 has been out for users for about a week now, and having put it through it's paces, it appears to have done nothing particularly noteworthy. The official word is that it does resolve a sleep issue, but I've only heard reports of one user with that problem. Others seem to suspect it was just an update to keep the iPod Touch/iPhone fleetingly un-jailbreakable.
What's your feel? Is it working for you? Any improvements to battery life (an employee at my local apple store told me off-the-record that he had heard of pretty steep battery life cuts in 3.1.1, which I experienced personally)?
While geohot has reportedly released a jailbreak for it (blackra1n), will you be jailbreaking now or waiting until something like a new version of redsn0w is out?

i'm gonna stick to what i have being somewhat sick of starting from new on and on for basically nothing (as far as i am concerned). i think, apple just keeps rolling out iphone updates in that manner to make life for us jailbreakers as hard as possible for they know that there's just no way to do a complete backup of what's being done outside apple's jail.
last time, it took me about 2 hours to get everything back and set up. so NO, i won't continue playing that game for now ;)

A couple months in and I've not seen any improvement in 3.1.2 over 3.1.1 in terms of battery life. You'd think Apple would have figured this stuff out by now.
