Hi to all of u guys on the forum. I fanally managed to install Snow, and everything seemingly worked flawlessly. However, i have a problem with my Liteon dvd burner. When i start snow it works fine, and i can eject as many times as i want, paly dvd an cd-s.... all normal. But if i leave my computer for a while at idle or am doing something else, dvd rom would get stuck. If i try to eject it, i get a ball spinning endlessly on desktop... So dvd simply disconnects and vanishes vanishes if it doesnt do anything, as if somebody pulled the sata cable out of the case. Any ideas guys, please?! sad.gif

Simple restart doesnt unlock the drive. When i try ordinary restart, AHci bios screen halts because it can not list the drive....I have to turn off the pc and turn it on in order to get it unstuck.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!!!!!

This issue usually gets fixed when updating to 10.6.1, do so if you haven't already.

NullCPUPowerManagement.kext should be all that's necessary to update properly.

Thanks for your reply Staff. I dont know whether to update to 10.6.1. I have used a distro called SnowOSX Universal 10 6 432 GM (4419Mb)and install went smoothly (probably because of my 8800gts g92, e7200 and gigabyte p45 UD3LR) i am not sure whether i will not mess things up by upgrading?!

As far as my problem is concerned, i think i may have solved it. My Hdd's were set to sleep if possible, so maybe that caused dvd to sleep as well?! I turned sleep off and am praying right now....

For the record. I own a legal retail copy of Snow Leopard, so downloading a torrent distro is not a crime!
