------ !!! SOLVED !!! ------

Hi all,

After a week of reading, trying, getting errors and swearing. I just had to ask here for help.
I'm trying to get some dual-screen action on my laptop and Samsung Syncmaster.

It's a:
HP Dv5-1150 ED
nVidia 9200m GS, 256 MB
4 gigs of memory
And so on.

Got everything working just fine, even Qe/Ci is working perfect. But no dual-screen support so far.
So did some searching and lots of reading, and found out i had to dump my videocard bios and run it through NVCAP_Maker. So prepared a USB stick to boot DOS, copied nvflash.exe on there along with cwsdpmi.exe.

But it didn't dump. Tried 4 different versions of Nvflash but no luck. Keep ending up with a dump of 0 bytes.
It also gives an error, version: invalid. And with older versions of nvflash I get errors but it gives a ID, EEPROM ID=20,00f.

Can't seem to find other people with this problem.
Really hope someone here can help me out. Or somebody with the exact same card can share his/her nvcap i can try.

Greetings, Byte

you know that nvenabler has automatic nvcap detection/patching?

it's important to mention which method of injection you're currently using (chameleon's graphicsenabler, device-property strings, nvinject, nvenabler, etc) so people can make suggestions off a certain aspect of that which may be incompatible with what you're trying to attempt.

Hi thnx for the reply,, going to give NVabler a spin.
I'm not sure what kind of injection I used, used the nvinjectgo 0.2.0 from the iDeneb v1.4 disc.

Hey Byteworkz,

I've got a similar laptop with the same video card in it too (9200m GS). I'm thankful that I found your post. I've downloaded this NVenabler and will see what happens. If you have any advice to share, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, I'll try and report back with my results.
