Hello All,
Looking for a SATA PCI Card option for my Dell Dimension 4550. It's a PATA Only motherboard. I have a SATA drive adapter which plugs into the ide jack on the board, but it's not very elegant and creates some cabling and power connection annoyances.
Does anyone have experience with Hackintoshes and using a PCI SATA Card? Or know where I can find some info? I've tried dozens of variations of google searches and tried doing forum searches all over the place, but 'pci sata card hack osx86' in whatever combination has proven to be just to generic of terms.
Are there 'theoretical' obstacles I should know about where a Hack and a PCI SATA card aren't gonna work? My assumptions are that it ought not to be much of a problem to find something that works.
