Hello!

I have an Asus P5L 1394 mobo with ALC883 integrated sound card.

-> ALC883 (Reference Designs)
-> ALC883 (Datasheets)

In Windows When I activate 5.1 sound the Line In blue is turned into Left and Right Rear, the Mic Pink is Turned in to Center/Subwoofer, all in back panel.

according to many tutorials Sequence must be always 0 and Misc if different from 1 or 0 should be changed to 0 if it's right my Codec Verbs become:

I have tried many many files from the net, patched many many times AppleHDA.kext and tried it with different HDAEnablers but no way I can't get 5.1 sound to work only stereo

Can you help me to make a driver for Snow Leopard 10.6.2?

P.S. I have already tried VoodooHDA but I can get only two channels with it.

Ok I cheated by using verbit script attached in this great tutorial and now my codec verbs are :

I can see my sound card listed with right inputs/outputs but I get no sound and I can't launch Audio MIDI Setup it carshes.

unfortunately the tutorial is not completed and I miss informations about nodes etc. ...

Can you help me to get 5.1 sound using mic as center/subwoofer and Line In as left/right rear (all from back pannel)?
